About the Event

For many people, Winter brings a whole range of health issues. From aches and pains to colds, from depression to low energy, or just feeling cold and miserable!

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, the natural, healthy state of being is to feel warm, vital and healthy no matter what the temperature is outside. Aside from the treatment methods of Acupuncture, Massage and Herbal Medicine, there are many methods and tricks that the Chinese use to kickstart their own internal central heating, the body's own "Yang Qi".

Alex will be sharing some of these secrets in this talk, including methods that you will be able to try out straight away. Subjects covered will include Chinese Medical Theory, Chinese nutrition and recipe ideas, Chi Gong and Tai Chi, Self-Acupressure, Herbal Medicine and much more.

I am excited to announce that for the first time, I will be teaching the secrets of the 6 ‘SOLAR TERMS’ of the Winter season. The Chinese calendar splits the year into 24 15 day ‘mini seasons’ called the Jie Qi or solar terms. Each season has 6 of these periods.

In this session you will not only learn about the energy dynamic of the Winter in general, you will learn about each 15 day phase and how you can adjust the body to prevent disease and harness the energy to boost vitality. This is knowledge that is extremely rare to find in the West so book now to avoid missing out!

The meetup group will also be a chance to meet other like-minded members and to ask any questions that you might have about Chinese Medicine.
